ADA Accessibility

Go Ape Roadside Assistance is committed to providing a website and digital experience that is accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. This Accessibility Statement explains how we approach digital accessibility, the standards we follow, and how to reach us if you encounter a barrier on our site.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We test, update, and improve our website continuously so that all visitors — including those who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or assistive switches — can find information about our roadside services, request help, and manage their membership without unnecessary friction.

Accessibility Statement for Go Ape Roadside

Go Ape Roadside strives to improve the usability and accessibility of its website and mobile application for all users, including those with vision, hearing, motor, or cognitive disabilities. We believe all of our guests should be able to easily access our websites, digital offerings, and the services we provide on the road.

Our goal is to design and build pages that are perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust — the four guiding principles of modern web accessibility. Practically, that means clear typography, sufficient color contrast, descriptive alt text on images, keyboard-accessible navigation, focus indicators, and semantic page structure that screen readers can announce predictably.

Conformance With WCAG 2.1 Level AA

To provide a great experience to everyone, we follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG defines requirements at three conformance levels — A, AA, and AAA. Go Ape Roadside has selected Level AA as our target, which is the standard most regulators and large enterprises adopt for public-facing websites.

We audit our pages periodically using a combination of automated tooling, manual keyboard testing, and assistive-technology review. When new features are added — such as a contact form, a membership signup flow, or a service-area page — we evaluate them against the same Level AA criteria before they go live.

Compatibility With Browsers and Assistive Technology

The Go Ape Roadside website is designed to be compatible with the latest versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) on desktop and mobile devices. We test against widely used assistive technologies including screen readers (VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS), screen magnifiers, voice-control software, and keyboard-only navigation.

If you use an older browser, an unusual operating-system configuration, or a less-common assistive tool and run into a problem, we want to hear about it. Real-world feedback is the fastest way for us to find and fix issues that automated tests miss.

Known Limitations

While we work to ensure consistent Level AA conformance, some content may not yet meet our targets. Embedded third-party content (such as maps, social media widgets, or video players) is occasionally outside our direct control, and older photographs in our archives may lack the descriptive alt text we now require for new images. Where this is the case, we are actively prioritizing remediation in our next update cycle.

Specific Accessibility Features on This Site

Visual: high-contrast color palette across primary and secondary brand colors, scalable text that respects browser font-size preferences, focus indicators on every interactive element, and reduced-motion support for visitors who have set the operating-system preference to limit animation.

Keyboard: every page is fully navigable using the Tab and Shift-Tab keys, with a "Skip to main content" link as the first focusable element on each page. Drop-down menus, mobile drawer navigation, and form controls all respond to standard keyboard interactions (Enter, Space, Escape, Arrow keys).

Screen reader: semantic HTML headings (h1 through h6) on every page, descriptive link text instead of generic "click here," form labels associated with every input field, ARIA landmarks on the header, navigation, main content, and footer regions, and alternative text on all content-bearing images.

Mobile: responsive layout that adapts to screens from 320 pixels wide and up, touch targets sized to a minimum of 48 by 48 pixels, and pinch-to-zoom enabled (we do not disable user scaling in the viewport meta tag).

How We Test

Our development team uses a combination of automated tooling (axe DevTools, Lighthouse accessibility audits, and pa11y in continuous integration), manual keyboard testing on every new feature, screen-reader smoke tests with VoiceOver and NVDA, and periodic deep audits with assistive-technology users. Issues found in any of these passes go into the same backlog as functional bugs and follow the same fix-and-verify workflow.

Feedback

How are we doing? We welcome your feedback on how to improve the accessibility and usability of the Go Ape Roadside website. If something is hard to read, hard to navigate, missing alt text, or just confusing, please tell us — we treat accessibility reports the same way we treat dispatch calls: we follow up.

We try to respond to feedback within 2 business days, and we share lessons learned with our development and content teams so the same barrier does not appear elsewhere on the site.
